Zoom in to the Hubble Ultra Deep Field

Hubble was pointed at an area of sky with only a couple of faint stars in this galaxy.

Thus, everything here in this tiny patch of sky, other than the obvious stars,  are galaxies.

Give your mind some time to adjust…

  1. That just blew my mind. And what an awesome site – I’ll take the old-school styling for the fantastic content. My kids have been studying space in their after-school science club and then exposing my scant knowledge of the subject, but tonight I can go home and dazzle them!
